French e-invoicing 2026 - EasyScope guide

Official timeline

  • September 1, 2026 - all French companies must be able to receive B2B invoices electronically via an approved platform (PA) or Chorus Pro.
  • September 1, 2026 - mandatory issuance for large companies and mid-sized enterprises.
  • September 1, 2027 - mandatory issuance for very small businesses, SMEs, and solo founders.

What EasyScope does for you

  • Generates Factur-X files (readable PDF/A-3 + embedded XML CII, EN 16931 profile).
  • Computes line-level VAT when your services use multiple rates or exempt lines.
  • Adds useful legal mentions: VAT exemptions, late-payment penalties, fixed recovery fee, etc.
  • Supports SIRET / VAT / IBAN / IdAP data entry for both freelancer and client.

What EasyScope does not do

EasyScope is not an approved platform. You must choose one (official list published by DGFiP) and transmit your Factur-X files through it. EasyScope does not file your transactions with tax authorities and does not replace PPF / Chorus Pro.

Steps to be ready

  1. Choose an approved platform (official list is public).
  2. Get your IdAP (platform access identifier) and add it in Account - Compliance.
  3. Fill SIRET, VAT, tax regime, and default IBAN.
  4. For each project: complete client legal details (SIRET, address, VAT).
  5. For each invoice: validate IBAN, operation type, and download Factur-X.
  6. Upload the file to your approved platform: it handles official transmission to your client.
